OK, I wasn’t exactly a boy but I did do some auto racing in my younger days.

This is me before the start of an autocross in Peoria, Illinois in the mid-70s. I’ve misplaced the photos of me actually on the track. Just as well, I didn’t win.
I was driving a 1972 Fiat 850 Spyder at the time. Not a fast car by any means but it was the thrill and excitement of the competition that mattered. I drove much faster cars when I was older and living in California including an amazing Porsche RS America.

Back home after the race, cleaned up and posing with my car on Main Street (I grew up in a very small town).
